It’s always a thrill to see my stories in translation and, out just in time for the northern hemisphere summer, are the Dutch version of One Summer In Venice and the Portuguese version of Under Italian Skies. Recently I heard that my first ever novel, Delicious, is going to be published in Hungarian!
Under Italian Skies has a colourful new cover for its release in mass-market paperback format. It’s out in the UK in early June so just in time for summer reading and the shop where you’re most likely to find it is WH Smith (or online at places like Amazon of course). Meanwhile I’m finishing my new book, A Year At Hotel Gondola, which is scheduled to be published early next year. I wish I could write as quickly as I can read!
I’ve got some events coming up. There will be a glass of bubbles and lots of stories about Italy in Auckland on April 28 at the Paperplus bookstore in Newmarket. For more info click here. And then in early June I’ll be in Tauranga and involved in several events at the Escape Arts Festival. For more on that keep an eye on their website which you’ll reach here.
My latest book Under Italian Skies has been released in the UK, New Zealand and Australia so look out for it in bookstores….and online stores too of course. It’s filled with all the things I like most – food, friendship and southern Italy – and it’s about a woman called Stella who swaps her small London apartment for a stay in an Italian villa and falls in love with the owner’s life. I’ll be doing some events in New Zealand over the next couple of months so will post details here and on my Facebook author page once they’re all confirmed. In the meantime I’m hoping to return to Venice to research my next story some time soon….
My new novel has a name at last! Under Italian Skies will be released in April in the UK, Australia and New Zealand. You can find out more about it by clicking here
I’m sailing away to the Waiheke Literary Festival on November 14 so if you’re on the island come and hear me talk about happiness, food, friends and how a novel that is easy to read isn’t always so easy to write. For more click here
I’m excited to be heading down to the Marlborough Book Festival this winter to appear at a couple of interesting events. The festival runs from 24 – 26 July and to find out what I’m doing and when go to marlboroughbookfest.co.nz and hopefully I’ll see you there.
